
Chuck Jones is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and President of Chuck Jones & Associates, a Financial Planning and Investment Management company he formed in 1991.
Chuck has worked since 1980 to serve the financial planning, business planning and investment counseling needs of individuals, families, and small business. He specializes in retirement, estate, investment and special situation planning, as well as small business consulting.
An energetic and inspiring entrepreneur, Chuck has years of experience working with small business and finance, including 27 years as a CFP®. Originally from New Jersey, Chuck has made Portland his home since 1976. He is a graduate of Bucknell University with a degree in Commerce and Finance.
Chuck began his career in the medical field with Baxter/Travenol Laboratories and in 1964 he founded Extracorporeal Medical Specialties, Inc., a firm specializing in artificial organs and kidney dialysis. He developed the second disposable hemo-dialyzer and was one of the first lay-persons admitted to the American Society of Artificial Internal Organs. After 5 years his company had 165 employees and went public.
After leaving the medical field Chuck entered the field of investment real estate. In 1980 he made the transition into financial planning and became a representative of a large national financial planning firm where he quickly achieved the position of District Manager. From 1984-1990 he was a partner with Interwest Financial Advisors, Inc.

A serial entrepreneur, Chuck has founded ten companies and has been a director at four others. He has served as a consultant for companies in the following industries: medical, land development, restaurant, beverage distribution, general manufacturing, real estate, construction and others.
Awards:
In both 2008 and 2009 Chuck was honored with the NFIB “Small Business Champion of the year” award. In 2007 he received recognition award for his 25 years of membership with the Financial Planning Association (FPA). May 2006 he received the Eldon Shafer “Champion of Small Business” award for outstanding contributions to Small Business in Oregon by the Oregon Small Business Development Center Network. In 1968 he was named one the Outstanding Young Men of America.
